Suede comes from the underside of cowhide that has been previously brushed to make it softer and more pliable. It comes from farms in Southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul). The leather is tanned in Brazil, in compliance with the REACH regulation. Special attention is paid to the use of water in the tanning process. The suede is also coated with PFC-free (perfluorinated compound) water-repellent oils to protect the sneaker from drizzle.
